About Makswa

Italian-born, London-based artist Makswa channels the groove of the rhythms of funk, soul, and disco into electronic soundscapes, blending genres with house and tech house.

 

His music journey began when he was just 11: studying piano for several years gave him the basics of music theory. He grew up in a family where Soul and Funk music was a must. Starting producing music at 18, Makswa first came in contact with genres like UK Garage, Hip Hop, and House.

 

After getting recognition online by publishing his tunes, he began learning to DJ. He has recently started getting recognized on streaming platforms, and regularly performing live in various London venues.
